Extra Shot!

Love the cubano extra shot with coconut oil!! the banana

Can I Live Here?

Amazing, amazing amazing place. Local, vegan, vegetarian options. Quick grab deli full of veggies and chia pudding! Homemade kombucha which was a treat and the food was to die for. I am only sad I could only make it here once. The little shop next door had the cutest clothes and if it wasn't cold all the time where we lived I would have bought it all! I can't wait to go back to barefoot buddah!

Great Cafe!

Really nice and friendly ambience, great smoothies, sandwiches and coffee, cute boutique next door too. In contrast to our experiences at other small and large eateries, the food was well-priced. We were sad to have found this little place our last day on St. Thomas - we would have been back multiple times if we had found it earlier on our vacation!

Good Food!

We went to this place for breakfast every day of our stay in St. Thomas. The place is very charming, decorated with good taste. They offer breakfast, sandwiches and salad items. We also bought sandwiches for our trip to St. John. We will definitely go back in our next trip to St. Thomas.

Hip and cozy

Barefoot Buddha has good coffee, a friendly staff and a beautiful little gift shop. There's also a nice selection of light food. Its reasonably priced for St. Thomas, and close to many gift shops and the cruise ship port. More eclectic than most local spots. Worth a visit.

Go to breakfast spot when in St Thomas

My wife and I were on vacation for 2 weeks in St Thomas between 7/5 and 7/18. We didn't feel like over paying for breakfast at the resort, so we decided to try Barefoot Buddah on the recommendation of other reviewers and based on the lighter, gluten free menu options. We loved it so much that we came back almost.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch

We will be going back! Great smoothies, sandwiches and wraps. All made with fresh ingredients. Great little shop attachex to the cafe.

Oasis!

Barefoot Buddha is an oasis of tranquility and great, healthy food and tasty coffee in the midst of the cruiseship insanity. My family and I went there just about every day. The next door shop (accessed through Barefoot Buddha) is excellent as well.

What a treasure!

So glad we stumbled upon this. Such a fun place. Great healthy food (yummy salads) with vegan options. Lots of tea to choose from. Will definitely go back ... and soon. They do close at 6pm. And they greeted us with smiles at 5:30. Such a fun place.

Went here almost every day!!

Fantastic sandwiches (get the veggie wrap with hummus), pastries (get the mango coconut tart or mango turnover) and drinks (get the almond joy latte - the hot is better than the iced). The little shop next door is awesome too for clothes, jewelry and trinkets.

So glad we stopped!

On our way to the airport, we spotted this gem. We got kale soy smoothie, Thai vegetarian tomato soup, daily special panini, south western roasted veggie burrito. They were freshly made, very tasty. It seemed like the business was owned by conscious people that care to serve good food. I truly wish the business all the best :)

Awesome Lunch!

Had the best panini for lunch today - fresh local pumpkin, chèvre, pesto and spinach. Great selection of interesting food and beverage items and a very fun (and reasonably priced) boutique next door. Conveniently located (right across from Havensight cruise ship shopping) with ample free parking and good hours (till 6pm and even open for lunch on Sundays).

Love This Place

Just came over from St. John to barefoot Buddha for the first time while waiting for some friends to run errands and I love it! Lunch was great, the music and decor is laid back and easy, the staff is friendly and the wait was very short! Enjoying the AC when we finished eating I shopped in their ajoined boutique while my boyfriend loved his craft beer. It's affordable comfortable and a must stop for tourists and locals! Please open one in St. John:)

Nice, Alternative Selections

"We didn't go to this place for awhile because it looked so "hippie," but wow, the food is good! We have only done breakfast so far here and they have so many choices that are very creative. Was delicious! We also have had a few coffees/frozen beverages from here and have never had a bad drink. They make an awesome coconut/peppermint frozen blend.
Can't wait to have another breakfast here!"

Delicious, Healthy Food Near Marriott

"Barefoot Buddha is guilt-free, delicious eating if you're either near town, Havensight, or the Marriott Frenchman's Reef resort.

I love their quiches, because it comes with a spinach salad. I don't like to order fruit at a restaurant, despite fruit's health benefits, because you never know if it's going to be ripe and tasty. So, I really appreciate the fact that Barefoot Buddha offers the spinach salad, which is delicious and healthy, instead of questionablly tasty fruit. I can't figure out what they top the salad with (other than parmesan cheese - yummmmm!), but whatever it is, it's a pleasant alternative to fat-laden dressings.

If you're lucky, they'll also have soup when you visit. I ordered their oh-so-delicious Creamy Tomato Basil, and with the quiche and salad, I was more than satisfied for most of the day.

Another favorite of mine is their cornbread, but it's not always available. It's not the sweet, yucky cornbread from a box, so it's grainy and delicious. It's made in more than one way, but they're all delicious with the soups.

Their carrot muffins are also the best on STT, IMO, and I took some to work one day to enlighten my co-workers. Barefoot Buddha's carrot muffins are probably better than most homemade, because they're not overly sweet, and the frosting is luscious!

I'm not a health food fanatic, and I love my Coca-Colas with my meals! Well, Barefoot Buddha, in adherence to their healthy food commitment, doesn't sell canned sodas, so I usually get my beverage from the machine outside. My friends, however, seem to like their coffees and teas, and they offer a wide selection of both.

Barefoot Buddha is probably a one-of-a-kind coffee shop/restaurant in the Caribbean, and is a must-try for those looking for fresh baked goods using whole grains sometimes, fresh local produce, and made-from-scratch soups. It's got that Zen thing atmosphere, so it's a perfect retreat from whatever stresses you may be feeling!"
